How can baking cookies ever be rapid? You usually have to find a scale, then carefully measure out all the components, caress the dough for ages, then cut out small cookies into heart, moon and star shapes then wait another century'til they are baked.

NEVER EVER could I bake biscuits under these conditions. That's just not how I roll. But after that I stumbled upon those Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies (that is what I call them, anyhow.)

Ok, they don't taste exactly like the cookies you receive around Christmas time. Rather they're a little more gooey and don't crumble at all.

But what mostly convinced me was that you can have them ready in 25 minutes such as the baking time! No shit.

Possibly the most astonishing thing about the cookies is that they involve only 2 ingredients! Yep that's correct, and anyone can blend two ingredients.

Though if you want to make them tastier and/or fitter you can pimp them up using some add ons such as peppers, walnuts or cinnamon. That's Your Choice!

It seems increasingly like a sales pitch (it's not -- nobody's gonna pay me should you consume them), but I have to say one more amazing thing about those cookies.

They are tasty! Yep, once I had had the first I finished the rest within an hour.

They are ideal for hiking excursions or other occasions where you need a quick energizing snack on the move. Now I keep them as a fast bite in my back pack.

It also has to be noted that they're vegan. No eggs, no page milk, none of the typical cookie suspects. Just oats and peanuts.

Take oats for example. Not only do they reduce your cholesterol levels which in turn helps you stop developing heart disease or diabetes, but in addition they energize you with good carbohydrates and nutrients to help keep you going for longer throughout the day.

Those nutrients contain manganese, good for bone creation and skin ethics in addition to magnesium -- important for energy production to allow you to feel fuller

Same with peanuts -- the favourite fruit among athletes -- not just cause they contain a decent number of good carbs but also for being the huge players in the potassium video game.

Potassium is a really important nutrient for avoiding fatigue and muscular cramps. Pretty good if you have a challenging day before you.

Since you can see, I am a huge fan.

Here is an example of when I might have done with a few these biscuits. Regrettably, I didn't have them with me.

Perhaps you have been stuck somewhere in character and thought"damn I'm in trouble" ? If so, where? Excellent for when you want a power boost on the go. Enjoy!


Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F)

Obtain a bowl and mash the carrots until they're mushy

Add the cup of oats and any of the optional ingredients

Stir until everything is well mixed

Put baking paper on the tray so the cookies don't adhere. If you don't possess that make sure to wash the baking dish with butter (or olive oil if you are vegetarian )

To create the cookie shape just grab a spoon and scoop a decent sum from the mix onto the baking dish like I did in the photograph above. It's super quick and effortless.

Away it goes into the oven for approximately 15 - 20 minutes.
